Lousol
WordPress website for Lousol, a North American manufacturer of aluminum louvered pergolas, implemented from a bespoke Figma design.Built to present the product line, highlight outdoor living benefits, and support both homeowners and dealer partners with clear enquiry paths.
WordPress implementation based on an existing design, focused on clean translation from design to site.

Project background
Lousol (previously Aluminum Pergola) manufactures premium aluminum pergolas with motorized louvers, working both with end customers and with a dealer network across North America. The company needed a website that treated the pergola as an architectural product and, at the same time, clearly explained the system’s technical advantages: sun and rain protection, adjustable louvers, structural reliability.
The client provided a detailed Figma design, and my task was to turn it into a flexible WordPress site that the team could update as new configurations, accessories, and partner programs appeared.
The challenge
The design was highly visual: large images of completed terraces, close‑ups of construction details, and scenes showing real usage scenarios (sun, rain, privacy). This required careful responsive implementation so that the “premium” look and feel would not be lost on mobile devices.
At the same time, the content structure had to serve two main audiences: homeowners looking for a solution for their own outdoor space, and dealers or partners interested in selling and installing Lousol systems. The site needed to guide them to different enquiry forms without making navigation complicated.
What I worked on
- Development of a custom WordPress theme based on the Figma design, including templates for the homepage, product pages, “about” sections, solutions for residential and commercial spaces, and dedicated dealer pages.
- Front‑end implementation with a strong visual focus: full‑screen hero blocks, project galleries, and responsive grids for photos and feature descriptions.
- Content structure for different scenarios: information about louvered roof systems, available options (privacy screens, additional elements), example installations, and benefit sections aimed specifically at dealers.
- Setup of enquiry and contact forms that logically lead users from viewing products to requesting a consultation or partnership, depending on whether they are homeowners or dealers.
- Configuration of the WordPress admin (custom post types / custom fields) so the Lousol team can add new projects, products, and partner content without touching the theme code.
The focus was on a premium, product‑driven site that looks like a high‑end landing page but functions as a practical sales tool and partner acquisition channel.
Selected screens
Key screens include the homepage with a strong visual hero of the pergola, feature sections showing benefits (sun, shade, rain protection), and product pages for specific systems and installation examples. Dedicated dealer sections show how Lousol works with partners and why the system is attractive to them as a product to sell and install.Together, these pages position Lousol as a manufacturer that combines engineering and outdoor space design, not just a hardware supplier.

Support and continuous improvement
On this project, my role was to implement the design in WordPress, create the custom theme, and design the content structure so the Lousol team can continue to evolve the site. The WordPress setup allows them to add new project photos, product pages, and dealer materials as the brand grows and rebrands, without needing a full redesign every time the product line or positioning changes.
FAQ
Common questions about WordPress project work and ongoing support.
What kinds of WordPress sites do you work with?
I work with business WordPress sites, WooCommerce stores, and projects that need to grow step by step — without unnecessary complexity or fragile solutions. This includes both new launches and existing sites that need refinements, support, or careful technical updates.
Can you improve an existing site without a full redesign?
Yes. Most tasks involve sites that are already live: new sections, functional improvements, WooCommerce changes, performance optimisation, or technical fixes. The goal is for the site to stay stable, manageable, and easy to develop further.
What types of tasks do you take on most often?
Most often this is custom WordPress development, Figma design implementation, WooCommerce refinements, support for live sites, fixing technical issues, and practical improvements over time. In selected scenarios I also help with light AI automations for content, enquiries, or internal admin workflows.
Do you work on WordPress speed and performance?
Yes. WordPress optimisation usually involves reviewing the theme, plugins, images, fonts, page structure, and the site's overall technical neatness. The aim is not a "magic button", but practical changes that make the site faster and easier to maintain.
Do you use AI when working on WordPress sites?
Yes, but only where it genuinely helps the process. AI works best for content drafts, FAQ or support assistants, enquiry handling, and small automations around an existing WordPress site. The approach is simple: AI should reduce routine work, not complicate the site.
What do I need to prepare to discuss a task or project?
Usually a short description of the site, the task, the desired outcome, and examples or technical constraints if you have them is enough. If the project is already live, it also helps to share the current site or a staging environment — this makes it easier to understand the scope of work.
Can I get in touch not for a new site, but for support or specific improvements?
Yes. I work not only on new builds, but also on live sites that need to be maintained, fixed, and improved gradually. This can include new pages, admin changes, WooCommerce refinements, small UX improvements, or technical maintenance.
Need a clearer WordPress site for a service business?
If you need a WordPress website for a service business, design implementation, or support for an existing site, I would be happy to review the project.
