Abeton
Corporate WordPress website for a national manufacturer of reinforced concrete products, built on a unique custom theme.Includes specialised functionality for product presentation and collaboration with designers and engineers, tuned to ABeton’s internal processes.
Earlier WordPress project built from scratch for a construction-related business.

Project background
ABeton is a national Ukrainian manufacturer of reinforced concrete products used in engineering infrastructure, road construction, and water‑disposal systems. The company needed a website that could represent its scale and expertise, present a very broad product range, and support collaboration with designers, engineers, and project organisations.
Instead of a basic catalogue, the site had to function as a central reference point: explaining who ABeton is, what kinds of products they manufacture, and how people involved in projects can find the right technical solutions.
The challenge
The product range at ABeton covers many categories: pipes, manholes, trays, foundations, road slabs, retaining walls, noise‑barrier elements, water‑disposal solutions, and more. The challenge was to design and implement a WordPress structure and custom theme that could handle this complexity while staying usable for visitors who are not necessarily technical experts.
At the same time, the website needed special functionality for project designers and engineers, including dedicated access and contact flows for technical consultations and coordination of solutions. This required going beyond a standard corporate theme and building a layout and logic specifically around ABeton’s workflows.
What I worked on
- Development of a unique custom WordPress theme specifically for ABeton, rather than adapting a pre‑made template, to reflect the brand and support the complex product structure.
- Implementation of a structured product catalogue that groups reinforced concrete products into logical categories (engineering networks, road elements, water‑disposal systems, structural components) and allows users to explore them intuitively.
- Creation of content and navigation patterns tailored to engineers and designers, including dedicated sections and access for project organisations, along with targeted contact options for different regions and responsibilities.
- Integration of special functionality required by the client (for example, project‑oriented tools or workflows) on top of the custom theme, aligned with how ABeton actually works with infrastructure projects.
- Configuration of the WordPress backend so that the ABeton team can manage products, reference information, and contact details without needing to touch the theme code.
The focus was on a specialised B2B website: less about marketing slogans, more about giving clear structure to complex technical information and making it practical for day‑to‑day work with partners.
Selected screens
Key screens include the product catalogue pages, which show the breadth of ABeton’s reinforced concrete elements, and the company/about section describing its role as a national manufacturer and its strengths in water‑disposal and infrastructure solutions. The “For designers” / project‑oriented area demonstrates how the site supports engineers with access and contacts for coordinating technical solutions across regions.Together, these screens show how the site works as both a public presentation of the brand and a working tool for the construction and design community.

Support and continuous improvement
After delivering the custom theme and specialised functionality, the site continued to live and evolve on the client’s side as ABeton expanded its product range and regional presence. The WordPress foundation and custom template were designed to accommodate this growth without requiring a full rebuild each time the product catalogue or partner network changes.
